Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi once again held the 3D Commitment (Discipline Day of Diaz Commitment), an annual event serving as a momentum to strengthen the culture of discipline and build a shared commitment across the school environment. This activity is part of Diniyyah Al-Azhar’s ongoing efforts to instill positive character in all members of the school community, from students to the teaching staff.
This year, the 3D Commitment carried the theme “Commit to Discipline, Grow with Integrity.” The theme serves as a reminder that discipline is not merely compliance with rules, but a habit that needs to grow from self-awareness and be consistently demonstrated in daily life.
The 3D Commitment event was attended by approximately 750 students across the Integrated Islamic Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High School levels (SD IT, SMP IT, and SMA IT) of Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi, alongside teachers and invited guests. This cross-level togetherness symbolizes that building a culture of discipline is a collective responsibility requiring collaboration from all parties.
The program was delivered in three main stages: affirmation, visualization, and commitment. During the affirmation stage, participants were encouraged to build enthusiasm and conviction that discipline is essential to forming a responsible individual. Discipline is expected to stem not just from regulations, but from the realization that every good habit positively impacts oneself and the surrounding environment.
Next, participants engaged in visualization through simulations of everyday disciplined behaviors at school. These covered time management, proper attire, environmental cleanliness, and polite social interactions. The simulations provided a clear picture that discipline starts with simple, consistent actions.
The highlight of the event was a joint commitment marked by the reading of the discipline pledge and the signing of the commitment board. Through this moment, all participants committed to holding one another accountable, setting good examples, and upholding the established rules at Diniyyah Al-Azhar.
The event chair, Dyana Mayasari, M.Pd., emphasized that the 3D Commitment is more than a ceremonial event, aiming to create a real impact on character. “The goal of this activity is for all members of the school community to possess noble character (akhlakul karimah),” she stated. The ultimate purpose of reinforcing discipline is to nurture individuals who not only follow rules, but also act with morality, responsibility, and integrity.
Meanwhile, Mr.. H. Abdul Muhaimin El-Yusufi, B.Sy.E., M.E., Head of STKIP-AD, representing the Director of Education at Diniyyah Al-Azhar Indonesia, expressed his hopes that the event would foster self-driven discipline among students.
“May the values of discipline become deeply rooted in every student through this program. Discipline is not just about obeying rules, but about building a better, more responsible self with commitment in everything we do. With self-motivated discipline across the school community, we hope Diniyyah Al-Azhar continues to be a safe, comfortable, orderly, and peaceful educational environment,” he remarked.
By holding the 3D Commitment annually, Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi consistently maintains its culture of discipline as part of student character development, shaping a generation that is responsible, principled, and noble in character.
