Diniyyah Al-Azhar Implements NOC System  (Diniyyah Al-Azhar terapkan sistem NOC)

NOC (network operation control) is an infrastructure system that monitors a network. Monitoring includes controlling and observing ongoing network activities to ensure everything runs as it should.

The purpose of a NOC in a data center is to ensure that the data center’s network functions properly according to existing standards.

The NOC at Diniyyah Al-Azhar Islamic Educational Institution Jambi serves as a tool to monitor the operational efficiency of teaching and learning activities, developmental programs, discipline, resource management, facility standards, and the execution of main duties and functions (Tupoksi). Additionally, the NOC functions as a data source and a tool to monitor the safety and comfort of students at school.

A 7×4 square meter room serves as the NOC control center, staffed by 1 operator who monitors and connects information to various relevant parties, such as the school principal, vice principal, administrative staff, security guards, and homeroom teachers. The setup includes 3 TV monitors displaying 24 CCTV screen feeds covering offices, classrooms, and laboratories, 2 PC units for data and information handling, and an intercom connection.

Every day, the operator is on standby from 7 AM to 4 PM, wrapping up after teaching activities conclude and before teachers and students head home.

In addition to ensuring teachers conduct their classes on time, the system monitors unattended classrooms, rule and code-of-conduct violations by students, and the cleanliness and neatness of rooms. The NOC also ensures end-of-day standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed, such as verifying that lights, air conditioners, projectors, and other electronics are switched off, curtains, doors, and windows are closed, and items are returned to their proper places. Consequently, this builds good habits that significantly impact the discipline and character of the school community.

Furthermore, the NOC plays an active role as a liaison/mediator between classrooms or homeroom teachers and relevant departments, such as the Principal, Administrative Office, Health Unit, Security, and technicians. This enables rapid incident response and prompt action for any technical or non-technical issues that arise.

Inaugurated in 2020, this operational system is expected to enhance services across the institution at Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi. It serves as a problem solver for various school issues and, most importantly, enables school leadership to make quicker decisions based on real-time data reports.
