A total of 14 students from SMAIT Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi will join the Indonesian delegation to participate in the 15th Malaysian Scout Jamboree 2026, abbreviated as MYJAM15.
The 15th Malaysian Scout Jamboree (MYJAM15) is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 4, 2026. This large-scale event is held in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia, specifically around the Penang State Stadium area.
This event marks a historic moment for Malaysia as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of unified scouting in Malaysia, originating from the same birthplace where the first National Jamboree was held.
The event is hosted by The Scouts Association of Malaysia, Penang State Branch, under the theme: “Embracing Heritage, Shaping the Future.”
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Jambi Mayor’s Office, Dr. dr. H. Maulana, M.K.M. received an audience from the SMAIT Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi Scout contingent, led directly by the Director of Education at Diniyyah Al-Azhar Indonesia, Mr. H. M. Hafizh El Yusufi, MM.
Mr. H. M. Hafizh El Yusufi, MM stated that the departure of the Diniyyah Al-Azhar contingent this time brings 14 students to join MYJAM15, which will host thousands of Scouts from various regions across Malaysia as well as international contingents from dozens of National Scout Organizations (NSOs) worldwide. This marks the 5th time Diniyyah Al-Azhar has sent a contingent to the Malaysia Scout International Jamboree since 2012.
Through this activity, students are given the opportunity to observe the progress of other countries, build networks with participants from various nations, build mental resilience, enrich their experiences, open their minds, broaden their horizons, and develop character traits such as cooperation, mutual assistance, empathy, perseverance, and more.
In his remarks, the Mayor of Jambi expressed great pride and joy in sending off the outstanding students of SMAIT Diniyyah Al-Azhar, noting that they bring honor to both Jambi and Indonesia. He also advised them to always maintain good manners and character, and to show that they are worthy of pride.
The Deputy Mayor of Jambi added that the impact of this activity on the broader community should be kept in mind, such as cultivating the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong).
Dra. Hj. Rosmaini, MS., M.Pd., as the founder of Diniyyah Al-Azhar, also participated in sending off the contingent and offered advice to always maintain good manners and character wherever they are, as these are the most critical values that reflect the school’s reputation.
The jamboree features outdoor adventures, global cultural exchanges, life skills development, and integrated community activities such as the Arena Fest and Jamboree Fun Walk.
The contingent is scheduled to depart on August 27, 2026, heading to Sultan Syarif Kasim Airport in Riau to take off for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
